Michael Cofield Ph.D. is the Director of Behavioral Medicine for Sun Health in Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Cofield is a Board Certified psychologist and Diplomat with over 25 years of experience working with individuals and families. He has an extensive background in organizational, family business, aging, and executive coaching in the areas of emotional intelligence and effective communication. He is a frequent speaker and is the author of Integrated Cognitive Restructuring: A Brief Protocol for Depression, Anxiety, and other Emotional Disorders

Deborah Cox
works in the Dallas office of JPMorgan's Private Bank Wealth Advisory Services providing advice on wealth transfer, family governance, business succession, philanthropy, and tax planning. She brings more than 20 years of wealth advisory experience to JPMorgan and is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. Prior to joining JPMorgan Private Bank, Deborah was a partner with Strasburger & Price, L.L.P., and served as the head of its Taxes and Estates Section. Deborah is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where she received her B.S. (with highest honors) in 1978 and her J.D. (with honors) in 1981.

Allan Duncan , is the Managing Director of Rockwood Companies, LP and has over 22 years of financial transaction and management experience. Diverse assignments include LBO's, private equity investment management, mergers & acquisitions, strategy, and financial restructurings. Allan has successfully developed niche business strategies and comprehensive private company C-level experience with profit and loss responsibility in all phases of company life cycle. Allan has led numerous transactions for America's leading family enterprises.

Mr. Duncan received his bachelor degree from The University of Arkansas, summa cum laude, BSBA in Accounting, and earned his MPA, Income Taxation from The University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Duncan is a Certified Public Accountant.

James Olan Hutcheson is the Managing Partner and Founder of ReGENERATION Partners, a consulting/advisory firm devoted exclusively to increasing shareholder wealth and improving communication within family-owned and managed businesses. Jim has over 25 years of “hands-on” experience with family firms, including 19 years with his own high-growth family business, Olan Mills Studios. In addition to degrees in Psychology, Sociology, and an MBA, Jim serves as an advisor or director to numerous business and professional enterprises.

Jim has been featured in numerous media including the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Success, Inc., Nations Business, as well as the AP wire service, business journals, and daily newspapers throughout North America. Jared Kaplan is a partner in McDermott, Will & Emery's Chicago office, concentrating his practice in federal tax matters, corporate finance and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs). He is the co-author of Tax Portfolio on Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs), and Corporate Portfolio on ESOPs in Corporate Transactions, both published by the Bureau of National Affairs in 1999, and is editor of The Best of Law, published by the Family Firm Institute in 1999. Mr. Kaplan received his bachelor's degree from the University of California at Los Angeles in 1960 and his law degree from Harvard Law School in 1963.

David Katzen is President of Katzen, Marshall & Associates, Inc. Mr. Katzen has been responsible for over 1,000 valuations of securities, business enterprises, real estate, machinery/equipment, and intangible assets since 1981. Prior to forming Katzen, Marshall & Associates, Inc., Mr. Katzen was a Partner in Ernst & Young's Valuation Services Group where he was responsible for field investigations, analysis, and report preparation of valuation studies. Prior to Ernst & Young, Mr. Katzen was a senior investigations accountant with Laventhol & Horowath, London. Mr. Katzen received a bachelor degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa, has earned the Institute of Chartered Accountants designation, and is an accredited senior appraiser (ASA) in the American Society of Appraisers.

Sam H. Lane, Ph.D., is the President of LBF Associates and a partner in The Aspen Family Business Group. As a corporate psychologist he successfully creates and implements individualized approaches to the unique challenges faced by family business enterprises. Dr. Lane received a bachelors degree in psychology from The University of Texas and a doctorate in psychology from Texas Christian University. He is co-author of two books Working With Family Businesses and Holistic Model: Rethinking the Role of the University-Based Family Business Centers.

Ken Osean is President and founder of Planned Performance, a Dallas, Texas based consulting and counseling firm. Mr. Osean received degrees fro Montclair State College, North Texas State University, and Rutgers University. Additionally, Mr. Osean is a certified Employee Assistance Professional, a certified mental health service provider in the field of Sports Counseling, and a licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. Ken has worked with individuals and corporations throughout the US, has represented the Zig Ziglar Corporation, and is the author of Leader's Guide for Delivering Nicotine Cessation Services – A Fifteen Session Plan.

Kevin Thomason J.D. is a partner with the law firm Thompson & Knight, Dallas, Texas. Mr. Thomason attended, on full scholarship, Oklahoma Christian College and graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Accounting and cum laude from Southern Methodist University's, Dedman School of Law. Mr. Thomason was admitted to State Bar of Texas in 1979 and belongs to Alpha Chi; Order of the Coif. Admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court, 1982; and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, 1982. (Dallas Office). Mr. Thomason has served as General Counsel to numerous family enterprises and has represented minority shareholders and family businesses in legal proceedings.
